This individual activity requires students to view political cartoons that represent different aspects of the federal government’s stimulus package debate. The first cartoon suggests that Republicans are focusing on smaller things like unemployment benefits while ignoring tax cuts. The second cartoon suggests that a large stimulus will worsen what is already a large national debt.
