Financial Fitness for Life
Check out these new e-Book versions of the Council for Economic Education's popular Financial Fitness for Life® Parent Guides.
Parent Guides are a first-time-ever curriculum developed for parents to begin sharing Financial Fitness for Life® with their children at every grade level. The lessons are simple, with exercises parents can guide or explore as a family. Each subject area provides material for family discussion and an assortment of recommended activities that parents can do together with their kids. In addition, there is a treasure trove of suggested books for those who want to dig deeper as well as links to Internet resources through the Council for Economic Education web site. Parents can spend as little or as much time as they have-and still see immediate and lasting results.
The best place for young people to learn about managing money and making spending decisions is within the family. Take your first grader grocery shopping. Show your fourth grader how to pay monthly bills. Invite your seventh grader to help choose the family's new car. Sit down with your college-bound seniors and budget meals, clothing, books and other expenses. Financial Fitness for Life® contributes to strong skills and strong families.
The Parent Guides can be used alone or as an enhancement to the school curriculum.
