Michael Koren

Michael teaches 7th and 8th grade U.S. History at Maple Dale School in suburban Milwaukee. This will be my 29th year at the school. Michael was named 2010 National Middle School Teacher of the Year by the National Council for the Social Studies and 2010 Middle School Teacher of the Year by the Wisconsin Council for the Social Studies. In addition, Michael was named a herb Kohl Education Scholar in 2008. He has served two terms on the board of directors for the National Council for the Social Studies.Michael also referees high school basketball in Wisconsin.
